Twenty Nine local hockey players from five to 13 years of age participated in the first PD Day Heads Up hockey camp.
Instead of hanging around the house playing video games, the kids practiced a few skills under the direction of several
experienced coaches, including former Dundas Blues Star Derek Myke.
Organizer Andrew Northrup said the morning camp was a great success and he plans to hold another in December.

He'd like to expand it to a full day. Bruiser, the Hamilton Bulldog's mascot, dropped by for photos and to play in a
3 on 3 game at the end of the three hour camp. A few parents, including Mary Ellis, Linda Matthews, Blair Tufts and Matt Ertl
stuck around to watch and were very impressed by how the camp was run.
They said things moved quickly, compared to some camps they've seen, and the coaches
were great with the kids.
